Ever since anyone in my family can remember all I ever wanted to be was a Vet.
In 2003 my ambition was fulfilled when I gained a place at the University of Bristol in the south west of England. It was here that I spent the next 6 years of my life studying to be a Vet. During my time in Bristol I became increasingly passionate about the behaviour and welfare of the animals in my care. I chose to complete a second degree in the subject and graduated both with a BVSc in Veterinary Science and also a BSc (Hons) in Animal Behaviour and Welfare.
I began my vet life in a busy North London practice before coming to my senses and heading “Down Under” to sunnier climes in early 2012. Having finally overcome my disappointment that all trees do not in-fact contain Koalas and that I may never see a kangaroo on the beach, I decided to stay and am now a ‘true blue’ Aussie citizen!
In 2014, after completing one more qualification to become a member (by examination) of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists (MANZCVS) in Veterinary Behaviour, I decided the time was right to launch Life on Four Legs. A relaxed, collaborative and relationship-centric Veterinary Behaviour consultation service dedicated to the furry, four-legged members of your family.
Today, Balmain in Sydney is the place I am delighted to call home. I currently share my affections between Tim my husband and our two furchildren -Emily the naughty tortie rescue kitten and Henry the fluffy Maine Coone. When I am not practicing as a Veterinary Surgeon or seeing behavioural consults I love nothing more than going to yoga or pilates, going for a run or meeting friends for coffee or (occasionally…) relaxing at the beach!
Thank you so much for visiting and I would love nothing more than to hear from you and meet your furry friends!
